Hello Ma'am,

I have been hunting for training courses in medical writing since the past week. Fortunately I encountered a few clinical research training institutes offering them. Some online courses such as that by University of Philadelphia listed in MWN.

I was interested in knowing about the credibility and value of these courses and especially the online options. and if possible get to know some good training institutes in India for MW.

Awaiting help..

Hi I’m Dr Radhahere... homoeopath but into clinical research. I’ve joined a pharma company recently & have been assigned medical writing projects over the 2 months. The assignments basically included newsletters, product queries by doctors, PSUR writing, Clinical study report writing, training material, protocol writing & CRF designing. I’m interested in turning this opportunity into a career. Would you elaborate to me about the sort of projects you have worked on as a medical writer?
thanks…

Hello madam,
I am MBBS and have about one and a half years of experience as medical writer. As you must be knowing about the fact that there is a big difference between medical writing in clinical research and pharma marketing/publishing. I am looking for a good break in medical writing within clinical research environment. But I don't know how to learn or get some experience. About six months back I appeared for a written test by Novartis, where they told me to write "Safety narratives" based on SAS generated data. Although I have written few manuscripts and Abstracts, but "narratives" was new to me and I was not selected.

Kindly let me know how can I learn or get some experience in medical writing within clinical research.

Thanks
Dr Arun Kumar
