As such there is little difference between data management and data analyis. sometimes, it is one person who does both or done by a team. The process involves data to be collected from papers, medical records, lab reports, questionnaires and computer database and converted to a special program used by biostatisticians. From there usually the biostatician starts his actual work.
since clinical trials involve advance analysis sometimes it is out of their league for medical writers to interpret the results (tables and graphs). The biostatistician gives his report in the form of his own writing. Medical writers rewrite the whole without changing the meaning and good presentation of words for common users.

The data manager does not involve in any writing.

Some online universities that offer biomedical writing are offering courses in biostatistics as well which is core subject.

Delhi is full of medical writing opportunities. I started my freelance career with work from clients in Delhi but presently I work for clients from many different places. I have never worked full time as a medical writer in Delhi. If you are looking for full time jobs in Delhi, you would first need to decide what kind of medical writing you are interested in. You could be a medical writer in a publishing house such as Jaypee, MedKnow etc, or in a global publication such as Springer, Elseiver, or Wolters Kluwer. You could also try medical communications agencies such as IJCP, Bioquest, Indegene, Kinapse etc. If looking for opportunities in clinical trial documentations, you may want to try TCS. The opportunities are many. Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi are the real hubs for medical writing in India. Happy job hunting!
