- My experience is that it is tough to break into that business without precise knowledge of the technical system that the vendor is working with (Epic, etc.) - that takes learning and experience in each application or device - therefore it is a hard sell if one does not have that experience

I am a retired physician wishing to get into medical writing and communication. Could you tell me a little bit more about your specialty of medical communications? I also have been teaching the medical sciences and believe that I have the knowledge and vocabulary for such a career as well.
