The first webinar titled "Preparing Tables and Figures" and will be presented by Tom Lang. Tom is a senior medical writer, editor and educator specializing in reporting and critical appraisal of biomedical research in scientific journals. He has also co-authored the book "How to report statistics in Medicine."
During this 1-hour live webinar, the presenter will introduce participants to the uses, forms, and design of tables and graphs suitable for publishing in scientific journals. Participants will learn specific principles for displaying data, as well as a process for determining the most effective way to display data to meet specific communication goals. Topics will include principles of graphical perception, common issues and errors in tables and graphs, and examples of strong and weak presentations.
